Graduate Study Application Info

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Department of Oncology Graduate Program at University of Alberta.

The following information is provided for your reference.

Admission requirements:

Students should meet the following admission criteria that are set by the Department of Oncology.

Academic Achievement - The minimum requirement for Canadian applicants is a B.Sc. degree or equivalent with a minimum B+ average (G.P.A. of 7 on a 9 point scale or 3.3 on a 4.0 scale).

All students applying to the Department of Oncology graduate program are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors at any time during the application process. A list of academic staff and their research interests is available at the Department of Oncology website/Faculty & Staff. If your application is approved, you will need to identify a supervisor (s) who is willing to take you on as a student and pay your stipend. We will assist you with this process by circulating your approved application to all prospective supervisors. Please note that the Department of Oncology cannot admit students unless a supervisor has been identified.
